This Privacy Policy explains how the Brutalci CS2 Community ("Brutalci", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit our website and connect to our Counter-Strike 2 game servers. By signing in with Steam or using our services, you agree to the practices described below.
01 Information We Collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the community. When you sign in or play on our servers, we may store:
- Steam account data — your public SteamID64, profile name (persona name), and avatar image, provided through Steam's OpenID login.
- Gameplay statistics — in-game stats such as kills, deaths, points, ranks, and playtime tied to your SteamID.
- Moderation records — bans, mutes, and other punishments issued on our servers, along with the reason and duration.
- Cosmetic preferences — skin, knife, glove, and agent selections you make in our in-game skin panel.
- Technical data — a session cookie to keep you logged in, plus standard server logs (IP address, browser type) generated automatically by our hosting.
We do not collect your Steam password, email address, payment card details, or any private Steam information. Steam login is handled entirely by Valve.
02 How We Use Your Information
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in across the site.
- Display leaderboards, rankings, profiles, and the public "Justice Feed" of recent punishments.
- Apply your chosen skins and cosmetics in-game.
- Enforce server rules and prevent cheating or abuse.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the community and its servers.
03 Public Information
Because we are a gaming community, certain information is publicly visible by design — including your Steam name, avatar, rank, statistics, and any active or past punishments shown on leaderboards and the Justice Feed. Do not use our services if you do not want this information displayed publicly.
04 Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of third parties whose own privacy policies apply:
- Valve / Steam — for OpenID login and player profile data (Steam Privacy Policy).
- Discord — our community chat lives on Discord, governed by its own policies.
- Tradeit.gg — a skin-trading partner we link to via an affiliate program. Clicking a partner link takes you to a third-party site we do not control.
- Content delivery — fonts, icons, and styling are loaded from public CDNs (Google Fonts, Cloudflare, jsDelivr).
05 Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie (PHPSESSID) to remember that you are
logged in. It is removed when you log out or when your session expires. We do not use
advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
06 Data Retention
We retain account, statistics, and moderation data for as long as your account exists or as long as needed to keep our community fair and functional. Moderation records may be kept indefinitely for the integrity of our servers.
07 Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To do so, contact us through Discord (see below). Note that deleting your account data does not necessarily remove moderation records, which we may retain to enforce server rules.
08 Children
Our services are not directed at children under the age required by Steam's Subscriber Agreement in your region. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age.
09 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
